CSRA Ultras is bringing the world of ultra marathon running to the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and the Midlands of South Carolina. Our goal is to bring fun, yet challenging ultra marathons to runners from all over the southeast. An Ultra marathon is a foot race of any distance greater than the marathon distance (26.2). Common distances for ultra marathons are 50K (31.07 miles), 50 miles, 100K (62.1 miles), 100 miles, and timed events such as 24-hour runs.

The CSRA is blessed with multiple trail systems each with unique qualities to them. The FATS (Fork Area Trail System) trails are world-renowned single-track trails that offer undulating hills and scenic views. The Bartram Trail is a fairly flat, fast trail system that snakes around the shores of Lake Thurmond. The Augusta Canal and Augusta Canal trail are both flat course that are on the banks of the Augusta Canal and the Savannah River. There are many more trails in the CSRA check out our local trails page for more information regarding all of the area trails. The Midlands of South Carolina have beautiful trail systems at Harbison State Forest, Sesquicentennial State Park, and the Palmetto Trail.

We are constantly striving to bring even more trail and ultra distance events to the area ultra and trail runners of the CSRA and South Carolina Midlands. Our goal is to provide ultra and trail runners with high-end, quality trail races that will challenge every runner.
